Mono is the new Black.

Capturing that alluring moment of his subject is what separates Wei Li’s photography from the rest. Twenty-five year-old Wei Li began his photography journey during his National Service in 2005, documenting humanitarian missions, military exercises and diplomatic exchanges of the Singapore Armed Forces.

His experiences in photojournalism laid the foundation in his interest for portraiture. Since then, Wei Li has moved into commercial portraiture photography and has shot for clients like St James Power Station, Shaw, Meiji, Unilever, Water & Wine and Biotherm Homme. His Salsa images have been recognized with a honourable mention in the 2009 International Photography Awards.

His most recent project is a documentary series on the changing landscape of Punggol, a new town in northern Singapore that is fast losing its beautiful landscapes as a result of urban redevelopment.
