Things i’ve missed out over the week
Ok this is a note-to-self entry:
Canon lens mug: It has been a while since something photography-related has gone viral. This lens mug, first seen at the Winter Olympics, is now a hit among photographers/hobbyists all over the world. Hey, i want one too! There’s also a 24-105mm cup (wtf) but it is not an official Canon product. What next? Limited edition 50mm f/1.2 hand grenade? or 24mm f/2.8 chocolate cakes?
Sony joins the world of micro four-thirds??: After Olympus and Panasonic, Sony is now toying with a new line of mirror-less DSLR. Looks like a good camera to bring along for my trip some time next month… that is IF they launches the camera by then.
Camera connection kit for iPad: Yet another potential thing-to-bring-on-grad-trip but this is unlikely. Available for USD 29. But hey, when the hell is iPad coming to Singapore???
Content aware filler for Adobe CS5: Some call it ridiculous while others mourn the loss of authentic photography. Either way, this content aware filler video is exactly what Adobe needs to make users upgrade from the already awesome CS4. Already, there’s a parody going around mocking the content aware filler feature. Damn funny.
The demise of photography: This article says it all.
Pentax 645D: ZOMG it’s finally out! 40 megapixels and 11.5 f-stop dynamic range is like a dream come true. Sadly it is going to hit USD 13000 i’m told. Too ex but worth lusting over.
