Just got back from my @Profoto dramatic lighting demo

June 25, 2010  |  Blog

I was invited by the peeps at Shriro to do a dramatic lighting demonstration using Profoto lights and the Hasselblad H3DII-39.

So i used this opportunity to approach Rebekah (above, left), one of the finer Salsa dancers I have seen so far and asked if she was keen to join Gupson, Sharon and Zee on my list of photographed Salsa dancers.

She quickly accepted my invitation and suggested i get her fiance Glenn as well for the shot, which i did as well.

Here’s some photos of the event.

In case you are wondering, the chair was too low for me.

So you might be asking how did the photos turn out. Well… all i can say is that… I have not been using a Hasselblad too often this year and someone how i overlooked the fact that some clown preset my camera to +10 EV.

It affected my photos badly upon closer inspection when i got home.

Here is one photo that looks somewhat usable.
