The fun part about my job

I spent the whole of Wednesday afternoon with the folks at Cake Studios and helping the out with a test shoot.

The thing I really enjoy about my job is that I get to make friends with photographers all over Singapore and provide them with opportunities and resources to shoot more photographs.

But before I go any further, I need to be clear that what I am about to write have no ill intentions nor to poke fun of certain people, who might be singled out for my discussion. Also, this probably does not apply to photographers who hail from rich families and don't need to feed their parents AND photographers who are obviously employed to an organization. Wanted to test the 160mm f/4.8 CB but ended up shooting on my 60mm instead

My Hasselblad 160mm f/4.8 CB finally arrived last month so I took it out for a walk.

However, I find myself shooting most of the time with my 60mm f/3.5 CF instead. It makes sense, because the 60mm is a 35mm equivalent on a 135mm DSLR and that makes it a really good walk-around lens.

In fact, I used the 60mm for most of my shots in China and the now-sold 150mm occasionally.

Towards the end of the shoot, I decided to try something different and switched off my lights than pointed the wall to get a more dramatic look.

Trying out the Phase One Capture One Pro 6

I just came back from the Capture One Pro 6 workshop.

While most of the things taught were stuff I already knew, I managed to pick up something new and finally dared to try out the various adjustments.
