That's not me in the picture with the Korean dance group. Rather a friend who had asked for my help with a shoot since he had limited budget.
I normally would reject such work from other people but since he's a friend and got my studio/camera rental costs all covered I told myself "why not"?

I did have some hands on with the Olympus EP-3 (and EP-2) and the Fuji X-100 prior to this and was feeling quite good about comparing the Nex C3 to them.
That plan, however, went down the drain when I realized that all other big boys like DPreview and Digital Photographer School already wrote excellent reviews about the camera.
Therefore it was really pointless to write a matter of fact review and I decided to take a different angle when writing this entry.

However, I find myself shooting most of the time with my 60mm f/3.5 CF instead. It makes sense, because the 60mm is a 35mm equivalent on a 135mm DSLR and that makes it a really good walk-around lens.

You don't many chances to do a photoshoot with some of the best Latin dancers in Singapore, let alone doing it with a Hasselblad H4D-40 and the Profoto Pro-8 (10 flashes per second, anyone?).

It was only on the day that I am leaving the place that I started revisiting places I found interesting. Only then, I started 'seeing'. Maybe this simply means that I need to go back Huangshan one more time. Huangshan, China 西海大峡谷 Hasselblad 501 CM 60mm f/3.5 CF Kenko 2X teleconvertor Ilford FP4 (ISO 125)

The set of filters I received from them are the black and white filters. The image above is taken during my recent trip to Huangshan, China. It was converted into black and white using the PSKiss Creative Mono filter with +7 grain. Hit the jump for more about the filters.
